What counts as an AI Copilot credit?
One credit covers a turn of conversation with the Studio Copilot. Free includes 5/month; Pro and Teams include 5 plus an option to buy more.
Is MCP serving billable?
Public ontologies are always free to serve — every public Hub version has a live endpoint at mcp.ontoboom.com/o/@ns/slug@ver with no meter. Private MCP serving includes 100,000 requests/month free per namespace; beyond that it's $5 per additional 100,000 requests, billed to the namespace owner.
Who pays for metered private MCP — the agent or the owner?
Only the namespace owner (the publisher) is billed. Agents connecting to your private ontology never see a charge — you bring the Bearer obt_ token and you cover any overage past the free 100K/month.
Can I serve a private ontology over MCP?
Yes — include a Bearer obt_ token from the namespace owner's profile (API tokens panel) on the MCP request. Public + unlisted ontologies serve to anyone; private requires the token and a Pro/Teams plan on the owner's account.
What makes a namespace premium?
Short handles (4 characters or fewer) are $299/yr and recognizable single dictionary words are $199/yr. A small set of brand/reserved names can't be claimed. Everything else is a standard namespace — free, and yours the moment you publish to it.
What does featuring an ontology do?
A featured public ontology appears in the Featured row at the top of the Hub homepage. It's a one-time purchase — $49 for 1 week or $149 for 4 weeks — and only the namespace owner can buy it.
Is there a free trial for Pro or Teams?
No free trial — the Free plan is the trial. You can publish public Hub ontologies, design with the visual canvas, and run real validation on Free. Upgrade when you need unlimited projects, private publishing, or team collaboration.
Do I need a paid plan to publish to Hub?
No. Public publishing is free, including the live MCP endpoint. Paid plans add private + unlisted publishing and bring private MCP access.
Can I self-host the MCP server?
Yes — for enterprise. Get in touch and we'll send you the on-prem packaging path.
